VIP or CIP (Commercially Important Person) security is divided into two areas. There is the ‘business as usual’ service which covers the VIPs normal daily routine and movements and special operations to cover additional travel and unusual non-routine events and movement.

Tracking Assets, Vehicles and People

Smarter Technologies Group specialises in monitoring, tracking and recovering the VIPs valuable equipment and assets during travel, as the VIPs own close protection team are primarily concerned with the safety of the principle as opposed to the assets. Of course, we can also create solutions to track the VIP themselves, when this is required, such as in the case of children of government officials, diplomats or other people in the public eye who may be at risk of kidnapping. In these instances, Smarter Technologies Group’s solutions are small and covert with long lasting battery capacity, and they incorporate location and speed data feedback, 2-way communication and panic buttons with email and mobile alerts.

The danger today with criminals tampering with a VIP’s luggage and assets is not simply about what might be stolen, but also that they could plant an explosive device and cause not just injury to the VIP, staff and entourage, but also to the general public in the surrounding area. Our tracking solutions can be used to monitor individual items of luggage, the whereabouts of each member of the close protection team responsible for the assets, and which members of your team are in possession of each assets and their current whereabouts or, following an emergency, where they were at any given time.

Our RFID and GPS vehicle tracking solution can also be used to track the vehicle the VIP is using, in order to determine their location to secure their safety at all times and enable a fast emergency response.
